Will the rendered S-FR Roadster from Toyota see the World?
Toyota has announced the S-FR concept not long ago. The concept was digitally changed into a roadster from the coupe. X-Tomi Design did the transformation.
The automaker will expose the model at the end of October in Tokyo. Officially, there will be a coupe concept. Though, a report assures that a production variant will come out next year. A speculative render of a roadster is supposed to advertise the latest MX-5 Miata from Mazda, as it has the same cute looks, small body and lightweight construction. Besides, it rides with a punchy motor.
There are no cons for a roadster variant. The producer could have created the small sports vehicle having an open top too. We hope that more information will come in at the Motor Show in Tokyo. The production vehicle is expected not to differ from the concept too much. It will probably be equipped with a 1.5-litre engine generating 130 hp and 148 Nm. The motor will be joined with a 6-speed manual transmission wrapped around in a pack weighing 2,160 lbs (or 980 kg). The hypothetical roadster can be a little bit heavier, but this fact will not influence its performance.
We don’t know up till now if the S-FR will be a JDM offering only. Toyota can launch its international variant too.
