Toyota calls 3.4 million cars for repair
Toyota is launching a global recall of 3.4 million cars.
2.9 million of these vehicles were sold in the United States. The automaker informs that there is a possibility of an electrical failure that doesn't open the airbags if an accident occurs.
Corolla 2011-2019, Matrix 2011-2013, and Avalon 2012-2018 and their hybrid versions have an electronic control unit that poorly protected from various interference.
Recall that in March 2020, the company will conduct another large-scale campaign on the recall in the United States. Among the models, there are 696,000 copies of 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Avalon, Corolla, plus Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC, GS, IS, ES, LX, GX, RX, and NX. These cars, which were released in 2018 and 2019, have a faulty fuel pump.
