Toyota Gives Green Light to TRD Pro Tacoma
Toyota will provide its range of TRD Pro off-road cars with the innovated third generation Tacoma.
The automaker presented a Limited trim version and an innovated TRD Off-Road model at the NAIAS in Detroit and the vehicle’s off-road capability will not end there.
Vice President of Toyota Motor Sales marketing stated in AutoGuide that a more capable TRD Pro offering is being considered, although it should not be expected soon. He said that the TRD Pro Tacoma is not going to arrive until 2016.
The automaker is offering a TRD Pro variant of the 2015 Tacoma now. It is outfitted with Bilstein shocks, a TRD exhaust, a suite of aesthetic upgrades and Eibach springs. The mildest level of tune for this line-up includes the 4Runner and Tundra, but Hollis did not say if the innovated TRD Pro Tacoma will gain a beefier setup.
Expect the model’s arrival sometime in 2016.
