- Additional enhancements include protective skid plates, reinforced bumper guards, and pipe-style fenders.
- This rugged build will make its first appearance alongside Kuhl Racing’s elevated Toyota GR86 at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon.
The fifth-generation Toyota Land Cruiser already has a solid reputation as a capable off-road vehicle. However, for those seeking an even more aggressive approach to trail conquering, aftermarket modifications are the answer. Japanese tuner Kuhl Racing is set to unveil a heavily customized Land Cruiser at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon that is sure to excite off-road fans.
Named the Blocker Series Iron Build, this LC 250 model boasts a collection of rugged upgrades that enhance both performance and aesthetics. Originally, the Land Cruiser offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance, but Kuhl Racing’s 7-inch lift nearly doubles that figure to 15.7 inches, allowing for better maneuverability over tough terrain.
Complementing the suspension lift are striking 22-inch Verz DDR03 wheels wrapped in massive 37-inch Yokohama Geolander M/T G003 tires. This combination greatly improves traction and durability, making the vehicle more capable off the beaten path.
According to the company’s social media update, this build "merges off-road strength with Kuhl Racing’s distinct sporty and bold styling."

To protect vital components, the build includes front and rear bumper guards, pipe fenders, and a skid plate. Other notable features are a roof rack, a 40-inch LED light bar for enhanced visibility, and a pair of aerodynamic rear wings—one mounted on the roof and a smaller one positioned on the liftgate beneath the rear window.
While no engine modifications have been announced, the stock US Land Cruiser comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine that delivers a combined output of 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, sufficient for most off-road scenarios.
Alongside this beast, Kuhl Racing will also showcase the GR86 Outroad, a coupe modified for rugged terrain featuring a 3-inch suspension lift, protective skid plates, tougher tires, and other upgrades at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon.
