New generation Nissan Leaf may turn into a crossover

The current generation of Nissan Leaf hatchback was presented four years ago, but the car should become a crossover in the new generation. 

British edition Autocar writes about it referring to the head of the European division of Nissan Guillaume Cartier.

Japanese novelty is based on CMF-EV, which was developed in the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. This architecture is applied in last Nissan Ariya and Renault Megane E-Tech Electric. Most likely, the new Japanese "green" car will debut in 2025.

There is no official data on the engine compartment of the next Leaf yet. Perhaps the car will please with front-wheel drive and powerful electric motor.
