A New Z From Nissan
The current 370Z offering from Nissan has been in use for more than 8 years. It also has long been overdue for a makeover.
The latest report says that the producer should reveal a Z concept at this year’s Motor Show held in Tokyo. The Supra successor should also be presented there in a concept form. The latest Z car should be a regular RWD coupe proportioned similarly to the current offering.
The Z should have a more aggressive design. It takes inspiration from the potent GT-R. The model will feature a shorter wheelbase taken from the Infiniti Q60’s FR-L platform. It will probably sole some weight.
In such a way, don’t be surprised that it shares the 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder unit with the Infiniti Q60 Red Spot. The engine produces the excess of 400 hp and torque of 350 pound-feet. The powertrain is joined to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. However, the automaker will probably offer a manual one too. Expect also to see an entry-level 3.0-litre six-cylinder unit pushing out 300 hp and torque of 295 lb-ft.
The next-gen Z offering will come out in 2019.
