2026 Nissan Pathfinder: Sharper Look and Smarter Tech in a Three-Row Family SUV
Nissan is executing a broad refresh of its US lineup, updating models from the Kicks and Murano to the Leaf and Sentra. The next model in line is one of its best-selling SUVs: the three-row Pathfinder.
At a glance, the 2026 Pathfinder retains the familiar silhouette, with a subtly redesigned grille and front fascia. A closer look reveals more substantial updates inside, including upgraded tech and a refined interior.
Design and color updates
The front end adopts a wider, sleeker grille with smaller inserts, echoing the latest Kicks and Murano. The fascia extends toward the bumper corners and sits slightly beneath the headlights for a cleaner look.
For 2026, Nissan adds a new Baltic Teal exterior color, pairs it with satin-finish badges, and offers a platinum-trim exclusive 20-inch wheel design. The SL and Platinum trims switch to black roof rails instead of silver.
Interior tech and features
Every Pathfinder now comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen as standard, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SL trim and above gain a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The wireless charging pad has been redesigned with improved cooling, magnetic phone alignment, and a higher output—rising from 5 watts to 15 watts.
The Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trims gain an HD overhead camera, while the “invisible hood” feature returns, aiding visibility when traversing rough terrain.
Performance and capability
Under the hood, the Pathfinder continues with the 3.5-liter V6 producing 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic. All-wheel drive remains available across all trims, with the Rock Creek variant offering it as standard along with seven terrain modes: Auto, Eco, Tow, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Rut.
Towing capacity stays at 3,500 pounds for standard models and can reach 6,000 pounds on Rock Creek, Platinum, SV, and SL when properly equipped.
Availability and pricing
The 2026 Pathfinder is set to debut later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Nissan has not announced pricing yet; the 2025 model started at $37,895 including destination, so a modest rise is anticipated for 2026.
