Hyundai is going to present Self-Driving Technology by 2020
Hyundai wants to offer self-driving vehicles.
The automaker has stated about its intention to develop commercially available autonomous functions in some of the cars by 2020. When speaking about self-driving capabilities, the Korean producer is trying to catch up with other producers, such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi. The Hyundai Genesis has been the only vehicle developed with autonomous technology so far. The model has an auto-brake feature which helps to avoid front impacts.
A lot of producers have pledged to develop self-driving vehicles by 2020, but it looks like regulatory hurdles will interfere and prevent them to do it soon. As to Hyundai, the range-topping Genesis will be the first one to receive the innovated technology. After that, the technology will trickle down to other company’s offerings.
