Final Farewell to the Ford Focus ST

Earlier this year, Ford announced the discontinuation of the Focus lineup in Europe, effective this November. This decision includes the beloved Focus ST, one of the last performance hatchbacks equipped with a manual transmission. As a result, the window to place a new order is rapidly closing, with Ford UK confirming that they have reached their production limit for the ST model.

Ford UK informed Autocar, "Currently, there are no new factory orders available for the Focus ST." This suggests that there might be a chance to reopen orders before the official end of production in six months. However, the cessation of the Focus and Focus ST models by year-end appears inevitable, with no immediate successor planned to fill their roles.

Despite the halt in new orders within the UK, interested buyers still have an opportunity to purchase a Focus ST. Ford has revealed that approximately 170 units remain unsold across their dealer network. Motor1 contacted Ford to inquire about the availability of the Focus ST in other European regions and will update this story once more information is available.

In recent years, Ford has been steadily phasing out its sedan and hatchback models. The Mondeo, known as the Fusion in the United States, ceased production in 2022, following its withdrawal from American showrooms two years prior. The Fiesta was discontinued in 2023, and now the Focus, including the spirited Focus ST variant, is set to leave Ford's portfolio.
