Next-gen 7-Series from BMW will be sold in the U.S. with Long Wheelbase
According to a new report, BMW will commercialise the next-generation 7-Series BMW in America in the long wheelbase guise.
BMWBLOG shared the information that they received from a customer. The client visited a preview event for the awaited and modernized 7-Series. It is interesting that the offering is not going to be sold with the regular “Li” suffix. The Bavarian brand will use “i” for its long wheelbase 7-Series commercialized in the U.S.
The model is expected to premiere on June 10. This latest flagship vehicle from BMW is 286 lbs (or 130 kg) lighter. It will have a regular two-axle air suspension which benefits from automatic self-leveling. All these characteristics provide a silky smooth ride. The car is going to become the first automaker’s model which boasts a touchscreen iDrive infotainment system. Moreover, it will be equipped with a remote control parking system.
The official presentation will take place in Frankfurt at the Motor Show. Sales in Europe will start towards the end of 2015.
