2026 BMW iX: A Refreshed Electric SUV with Enhanced Power
The BMW iX is getting a makeover for 2026. The German automaker has revamped the electric SUV’s exterior styling while increasing the available power by retuning its electric drive system. The refreshed model year also introduces a new, entry-level trim, the iX XDrive45. It joins the iX xDrive60 and the new iX M70 xDrive, which replaces the M60.
Upgraded Power and Range
The new entry-level iX xDrive45 makes 402 horsepower and offers a range of up to 312 miles. The mid-range iX xDrive60 now produces 536 hp and can go up to 340 miles on a single charge. The iX M70 delivers 650 hp and can reach 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds.
Exterior Styling Changes
The front and rear fascias of the iX have been updated, with subtle changes to the overall styling. The front features a new bumper, restyled grille, and revamped headlights with vertical daytime running lights. The back incorporates a new diffuser element, standard on the M70 trim and optional on other trims with the M Sport Package.
Interior Enhancements
The interior of the iX now includes new M multi-function seats, offered with optional ventilation. These seats are part of the M Sport Package available for the xDrive45 and xDrive60 trims, while they come as standard on the iX M70. Additionally, the M Sport Package adds a leather steering wheel, M pedals, high-gloss black center console trim, and a two-tone instrument panel.
Production and Pricing
Production of the refreshed iX will begin in March, with deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2025. The new entry-level iX xDrive45 starts at $76,325. The iX xDrive60 has a starting price of $89,675, while the iX M70 starts at $112,675.
