Renault has decided to show the precursor of the newest Megane

Renault has declassified one hundred percent of the Megane eVision hatch concept.

The French say that the prototype is almost indistinguishable from the serial version, debuting 2021. The novelty creates on the modular architecture of CMF-EV (intended only for vehicles with electrical installations).

The concept car has got frameless doors, matrix headlights, 20-inch wheels, and retractable door handles. The vehicle does not have a traditional radiator, while the side mirrors are replaced by cameras that show the picture on special monitors inside the novelty.

The concept is 4.21 m long and 1.8 m wide. It turns out that the prototype is inferior in size to the current generation Megane. The electric hatch has a wheelbase of 2.7 m with a curb weight of 1.65 tons.
 
The front-wheel-drive Megane eVision has an electric unit with 217 horsepower and 300 Nm. The hatchback gains the first 100 km per hour in less than 8 seconds. According to rumors, the power reserve of the novelty will be slightly more than 450 km.
