All the finalists of the 'World Car of the Year'

The organizers of the World Car of the Year (WCOTY) announced as selected candidates for the title of "World Machine of the Year."

The winners will be announced on April 8 at the auto show in New York.

In 2020, the Kia Telluride cross and 2 Mazda models can win: the brand new "three" and the compact SUV CX-30. Finalists will be selected by a vote of 86 auto journalists from different countries.

Applicants for victory in the categories:

  • "City car" - electric Kia Soul EV and MINI, plus the Volkswagen T-Cross.
  • "Luxury car" - electric cross Mercedes-Benz EQC, Porsche 911, and electric car Porsche Taycan.
  • "Sports Car" - Porsche: 911, Taycan, and 718 Boxster GT4/Cayman GT4.
  • "Best Design" - Peugeot 208, Mazda3, and Porsche Taycan.

By the way, in 2019, the absolute winner of the WCOTY competition was the Jaguar I-Pace crossover on electricity.
