Toyota Unveils Five Tracked Snowhunter Concepts at the SEMA Show
Toyota is preparing for winter exploration with the debut of the new Toyota Snowhunter Concept Family at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Built on five of the automaker's body-on-frame 2026 vehicles—the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, and Sequoia—each concept is reimagined as a specialized winter overlanding rig.
None of the five concept vehicles are street-legal, and they incorporate parts and accessories beyond Toyota's standard factory offerings. However, all five share a cohesive theme featuring custom Snowhunter camouflage exterior paint, black exterior accents, suspension lift kits, Rigid auxiliary lighting, and white powder-coated snow tracks in place of traditional wheels and tires.
The Tundra Snowhunter Concept transforms Toyota's full-size pickup into a mobile base camp. It features a TrailLift Pro bed setup that provides configurable storage for gear and supplies, paired with an articulating top rack that lowers to make loading heavy equipment like kayaks, canoes, and bicycles easier.
For narrower trails, the midsize Tacoma Snowhunter Concept is tailored toward self-guided explorers. It is outfitted with an illuminated bed, dedicated cargo storage, recovery equipment, a full-length bed rack, and a roof rack to maximize carrying capacity.
Among the SUVs, the 4Runner Snowhunter Concept adds Toyota Genuine rock rails, a roof rack with accessory panels, and a roof-mounted Thule cargo box. The Land Cruiser Snowhunter Concept swaps the enclosed cargo box for a dedicated ski rack aimed at backcountry skiing enthusiasts looking to drive directly to remote trailheads. Finally, the full-size Sequoia Snowhunter Concept is designed to haul the maximum number of passengers and gear into the wilderness, featuring aluminum running boards, a TRD front skidplate for underbody protection, a roof rack with accessory panels, and a roof-mounted cargo box.
