Ford Set to Unveil New F-150 and Super Duty Models by 2029
- Ford aims to release updated F-150 and Super Duty trucks by 2029.
- The company plans a major overhaul of its vehicle range within the next decade.
- A new mid-size electric pickup will join the refreshed lineup.
Ford has officially announced that its next-generation F-150 will debut no later than 2029. To support this ambitious product update, the company has formed a dedicated Product Creation and Industrialization team focused on revitalizing its portfolio.
Alongside the F-150, Ford is also set to launch a revamped Super Duty model. By 2029, the automaker expects to replace approximately 80% of its North American vehicles by sales volume, which will include a new mid-size electric truck built on Ford’s Universal Electric Vehicle platform.
Earlier speculation suggested production of the new F-150 would begin in 2027, but Ford has since pushed this timeline back to 2028, aligning with current expectations.
The current 14th-generation F-150 has been available since 2020, while the Super Duty received a recent update for the 2023 model year.
Analysis: The F-150 remains a cornerstone for Ford’s success and continues to hold its ground in a competitive market. With Chevrolet planning to launch its new Silverado 1500 soon, the pressure mounts on Ford to deliver the next-generation F-Series promptly.
