2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Introduces Bold Display Design Changes

Interior Overhaul in the Latest Toyota Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300, available in select regions including Japan, is set to receive an update after nearly four years on the market. The revamped model features significant enhancements within the cabin.

Upgraded Digital Instrument Cluster

One of the standout improvements is the enlargement of the digital instrument cluster, expanding from 4.2 inches to a more substantial 7-inch display, offering drivers enhanced visibility and information access.

Redesign of the Center Console

The most eye-catching modification lies in the center console area. The previous 9-inch infotainment screen has been downsized to 8 inches, accompanied by the removal of physical buttons that once bordered the display. This alteration results in notably thick screen bezels, drawing playful comparisons to the design of a classic Nintendo DS handheld device.

Despite the reduced screen size, the volume control remains intact, although the tune knob has been eliminated, disrupting the previous symmetrical design. This change is particularly surprising given that the Land Cruiser is Toyota's flagship SUV, leading many owners to opt for the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen model instead.

Infotainment System Updates

In addition to the display changes, the 2025 Land Cruiser no longer includes a CD/DVD player, replacing it with an HDMI port to accommodate modern multimedia needs. This shift reflects the broader automotive trend away from physical media, although a few vehicles from brands like Subaru and Lexus still offer compact disc support.

Pricing and Availability

The 2025 JDM Land Cruiser 300 is priced starting at ¥5,252,500 (approximately $35,000 USD). For those interested in the premium GR Sport variant, the cost rises to ¥8,136,700 (around $54,000 USD).
