Tesla Model S fails reliability tests among used cars

The German Technical Inspection Association TÜV has conducted a study concerning the reliability performance of used electric cars in Germany.

According to the results, the most reliable car is an electric version of the Smart Fortwo. 3.5% of all used vehicles experienced defects.

The second place is occupied by BMW i3 electric car, with only 4.7% of cars needing repair work.

Renault Zoe is in third place with 5.7%.

Tesla Model S has the most problems: 10.7% of cars have disappointing results. The most problematic places were found in the transverse suspension arms with optics.
