Volkswagen ID 4 launched
Volkswagen has started serial production of the newest electric cross-country vehicle ID 4 in Germany.
The 2019 model year is expected to be on sale this fall.
The VW ID line of electric cars already includes the ID 3 model, but it is sold only in Europe. The new ID 4 will be sold not only in European countries but also in China and the United States.
A novelty based on the ID Crozz prototype was created. The serial embodiment will not differ much from the concept car in appearance. Buyers will get a choice of a model with AWD or RWD systems.
The car's power reserve is about 480 kilometers. The battery is located at the bottom center of the body, which allows for a low center of gravity.
