Renault Espace minivan leaves the market
To optimize costs, the car manufacturer Renault, stops the Espace production.
Last fall, Renault restyled Espace minivan. However, referring to its sources, Reuters reports that Renault will soon abandon Espace due to low car sales.
Minivan sales in Europe are declining. So, in 2019 the demand for Renault Espace fell by 18% and amounted to 9,744 units, the leader among minivans Seat Alhambra was sold in the amount of 23,840 cars. Production of Seat Alhambra has stopped due to coronavirus, and the manufacturer is not going to resume it until the end of the year. Now Ford has no plans to update S-Max and Galaxy.
Leaving the market for MPV-class cars is associated with the growing popularity of SUVs and crossovers from the SUV segment.
