Crossover Mazda CX-5 will receive a different status

The Japanese company is transforming its model line.

The first step towards innovation was the Mazda CX-30, and further changes are expected in the Mazda6 sedan.

Mazda will divide the model line into two divisions: Large Architecture and Small Architecture. The latter will include electric cars and compact models with transverse engines. Regarding the first, there will be expensive premium cars with a longitudinal engine.

The division will be the first to affect the Six, which will appear in 2022. The classic layout of the motor is expected in the CX-50 crossover - a potential replacement for the CX-5.

The SUV will receive in-line 6-cylinder units for 285 "horses" Skyactiv-X with a compressor and a 48-volt starter-generator. Must appear and turbodiesels.
