Volkswagen showed a new SUV on VIDEO

Volkswagen decided to publish the first teaser video about the new compact SUV.

The car will be called Nivus, and it will be at the very beginning of the company's SUV model line. The official debut of the crossover will happen next spring. Previously it was reported that car would be developed only for the Brazilian market, but now there is information that the novelty is expected in other countries.

The basis of this SUV is the modular architecture of the MQB-A0, which is present in the new generation Polo hatch. The novelty in length will be no more than 4 meters, and the wheelbase is 2.56 m.

Perhaps the engine range will include a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit with 115 horsepower and a 1.6-liter 120-horsepower motor. The engines will be powered by a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
