Volkswagen ID. R - the fastest electric car of the Nurburgring
Volkswagen ID racing. R with pilot Romain Dumas managed to set the record for the "North Loop" of the Nurburgring among electric cars.
The car passed the German track in 6:5.336 min.
Volkswagen ID. R managed to thoroughly surpass the time of the 1360-horsepower NIO RP9 (Chinese electric hypercar), which drove this track two years ago in 6:45.9 minutes, demonstrating an average speed of 185 km/h.
Recall Volkswagen ID. R debuted a year ago at a special event in France. It is newly equipped with two electric motors, issuing together 680 "horses" and 650 Nm. The weight of the machine is only 1100 kg. Racing electric car "hundred" is given in 2.25 seconds.
