Volkswagen has been the largest manufacturer in the world for the 5th year in a row

Reuters reports that the group’s statistics include sales of heavy trucks Scania and MAN. Without them, the company's result is 10.6 million cars.

Second place behind the leader of the global market of passenger/light commercial vehicles in the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, which sold 10.76 million cars.

The third position at Toyota - the Japanese sold 10.59 million cars (not counting Hino trucks - 10.39 million).
