Volkswagen change the logo
Volkswagen will publicly present the redesigned logo in Frankfurt on September 10, 2019.
The first models to be provided with a brand-new nameplate are the ID 3 electric hatch with the eighth-generation Golf.
The main changes in the new logo - the letter W is no longer three-dimensional, but flat, so it looks minimalistic. Similarly, nameplates in older Beetle models took shape earlier. The company will also use the logo in 3 colors - blue, white, and red, depending on the type of car.
The company itself says that the new logo "reflects the brand's connection with the young consumer, digitalization and modernity." Foreign media think that the changes relate only to one reason - the Germans distance themselves from the "dieselgate."
