Volkswagen approved a 'hot' Touareg
The Volkswagen leadership decided to release a 'hot' R-version of the new Touareg SUV.
Jurgen Stackmann, director of Volkswagen sales, said about this for Autocar.
The new generation of Volkswagen Touareg R will acquire a hybrid installation with the possibility of recharging batteries from a single outlet.
According to rumors, the installation will include a 2.0-liter "turbo-four" along with an electric motor. A similar modification is already being sold in China, where engines develop a total of 362 horsepower and 700 Nm of peak torque. For the R-modification, the output of the installation can grow to another 400 "horses."
