The new generation of Toyota Corolla decreased in size
Toyota has unveiled the new generation of Corolla for Japan. The car received two body types - the sedan and a wagon.
The minimum costs for a model are 16,200 euros for a sedan and 16,900 euros for a wagon. The machine built on the TNGA architecture, which allowed it to acquire a solid structure, improved handling, plus a reduced level of noise and vibration.
The car has decreased in size. In length are 4.495 m and in width are 1.745 m. The wheelbase reaches 2.64 m. The novelty has a MacPherson-type front suspension and double wishbones at the rear. The design, in general, turned out to be more athletic.
The car interior is rich in seven airbags with upgraded multimedia and a touch screen — the twelfth generation of Corolla equipped with the Safety Sense range of active safety electrical systems.
The Japanese novelty now has an aspirated 1.8 liter with a capacity of 140 hp. The engine range also includes a 1.2-liter turbo engine with 116 hp. and a hybrid installation, which consists of a 1.8-liter 98-horsepower engine and an electric motor of 72 hp.
