It became known when the new generation of Volkswagen Amarok

The next-generation Volkswagen Amarok should expect at the market in 2022.

The machine will be with traditional internal combustion engines both on gasoline and on diesel. The Germans don't want to produce hybrid and fully electric pickups. With such words, Ralph Brandstatter, chief operating officer of the company, turned to CarSales.

According to rumors, the future Amarok will have advanced V6 engines on gasoline and diesel. Among them will be a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged unit and a 3.0-liter diesel engine from Ford Ranger, with which the German shares one platform.

The engine compartment will also depend on the markets where the car will appear. For the United States will prepare more gasoline modifications, and for Europe - more diesel pickups.
