New Volvo XC90 coming in 2021

The flagship of the Swedish company will acquire an autopilot of the 4th level.

Senior Vice President of the company Henrik Greene told The Car Connection edition about of some details of the crossover Volvo XC90 3rd generation. It is known that the car will appear on the conveyor in 3 years of the newest plant Volvo in the US. Autopilot level 4 in XC90 will provide a completely autonomous process of riding only on certain routes.

Among the standard equipment, there will be no such a system. It should be expected with name Highway Assist. Volvo is testing unmanned technology for a long time. And to make the process faster, an agreement was signed with Uber.

According to Green, Highway Assist's Volvo XC90 system will use cloud information as a basis. By the way, the 4 level of autonomy allows you to travel without human intervention.
