New Volkswagen Golf announced

Volkswagen has distributed the eighth generation Golf Hatch teaser.

The car, which has been testing since spring of this year, will officially debut next summer, and the car will be sold from 2020 already.

The basis of the novelty is a capitally improved scalable MQB platform, which in various versions helps to remove 35–70 kg of weight. The trunk, in this case, will increase to 400 liters in the hatch.

The engine range includes the newest family of 1.5-liter gasoline and 1.5 l diesel engines. Another eighth Volkswagen Golf will appear on the shelves in the version with a hybrid installation, which can be recharged from a simple outlet.

Regarding sports variations, the appearance of a GTI with an engine for 250 "horses" and an all-wheel-drive R-version with a 350 hp engine is expected. Next comes the hybrid GTE.
