Ferrari is going to release an electric supercar

Italian Ferrari plans to release SUV (crossover) by the end of 2019 and early 2020, said at the motor show in Detroit, the general director of (FCA, it includes Ferrari) Sergio Marchionne.

The company is ready to create an electric supercar, he said. Marchionne called the Fuv SUV (as they call such cars in Italy). "This will be the fastest SUV on the market," said the top manager, specifying that the new Ferrari in this body will not resemble any of the existing segment cars.

The company is also ready to produce environmentally friendly supercars on electric batteries, said Marchionne. "If anyone makes an electric car, Ferrari will be the first. We can make such a car, and it does not matter whether it will be sold, it's an obligation, "he said. The new industrial plan of the company, which will be presented in March, provides machines with hybrid engines, said the CEO of FCA. "Starting from this, it will be easier to come to an electric car," he said. Half of the machines produced in the world by 2025 will use an electric or hybrid engine, says Marchionne. The automobile community waited a long time for news from the company about the release of the first electric car. Now fans of the Italian auto giant will be satisfied with the upcoming release.
