2027 Ferrari Luce EV Priced From $560,800 in the United States
Ferrari's first fully electric vehicle, the 2027 Luce, will carry a significantly higher starting price than the brand's V12-powered Purosangue SUV. According to information obtained by Car and Driver, the Luce starts at $560,800 in the United States. That represents a $122,190 premium over the Purosangue, which begins at $438,610, and puts the electric model in a price bracket close to the Ferrari 849 Testarossa. Because Ferrari has no direct equivalent in its current lineup, the four-door Purosangue serves as the closest pricing and practicality benchmark, though the Luce adopts a radically different, lower, and slightly longer silhouette alongside wild interior and exterior styling.
Scheduled to reach U.S. customers in the second quarter of 2027, the Luce marks a major technical departure from Maranello's traditional front- and mid-mounted large-displacement combustion engines. Instead of the Purosangue's naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, the electric grand tourer uses four individual electric motors—one at each wheel—delivering a combined output of 1,035 horsepower. This setup allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds. Electrical energy is supplied by a 122-kWh battery pack, yielding an estimated EPA driving range of 280 miles, as Ferrari prioritized performance and driving dynamics over maximum range.
In addition to being the automaker's first EV, the Luce is the first production Ferrari to feature a three-seat rear bench, bringing total seating capacity to five passengers, compared to the Purosangue's four individual bucket seats. Built on a dedicated electric platform with a completely flat floor, the Luce is also the first Ferrari equipped with active aerodynamic grilles and rides on the largest wheels ever fitted to a road-going model from the brand—23-inch alloy wheels at the front and 24-inch wheels at the rear. At 4,982 pounds (2,260 kilograms), it is the heaviest Ferrari ever produced.
Extensive personalization options are expected to push transaction prices well beyond the $560,800 base figure. Despite intense online criticism from traditionalists over its polarizing design and silent electric drivetrain, Ferrari reports strong early demand, with orders pouring in from buyers ahead of next year's deliveries.
