Do Not Expect Renault Nissan Merger Before 2020

Renault's proposed merger with Nissan will not happen up till 2020, says the CEO of the brands.

It was told that the alliance is searching ways in which to consolidate the business activities. Renault is an owner of 43.4% of Nissan. The company from Japan is also owner of a 15% stake in Renault. According to the rumours, the 2 brands were searching ways in which they can deepen their relationship with one another.

The CEO is in charge of negotiations between the brands. A merger of the 2 automakers would see stakeholders from the brands get stock in the newly based brand.

We don’t know if one of the two names will be ditched after a merger.
