Brake Assist Issue In Lexus And Toyota Vehicles

Almost 6,000 cars in America will be recalled by Toyota because of a possible problem with the braking assist.

Owners of model year 2017 Sienna, Lexus RX350 and Tacoma cars as well as this year’s Highlander and Camry units will deal with the recall. The producer from Japan says that involved cars feature a vacuum pump assembly providing braking assist. It seems that a component in the vacuum pump assembly might have been produced incorrectly.

So, the condition can cause the illumination of a warning light, an audible tone, a warning message. It can lead to the sudden loss of braking assist. The vehicle can crash in the end result.

Lexus and Toyota dealers are going to change the vacuum pump free of charge in the affected cars. If you are an owner, expect to see first class mail by late May.
