Tesla Lowered Orders From Model 3 Supplier
A based in Taiwan automotive components supplier called Hota Industrial Manufacturing Co. has got instructions to cut back its parts manufacturing for Tesla from 5,000 units a week to 3,000.
The chief opened up that the company got a memo from Tesla stating that production bottlenecks had slowed output of the Model 3 from the Fremont plant. The manufacturer told that the December order from Hota would be lowered down by 40%.
Hota supplied parts for the Model X and Model S. It has also entered an agreement to provide components for the Model 3.
The automaker has trimmed the component orders for the unit and this is not a surprise as it did not reach its aim to deliver 1,500 Model 3s in the 3rd quarter.
