Polestar Moves Manufacturing To China

Polestar, Volvo's performance arm, transferred its production to China. It is going to manufacture a state-of-art facility acting as a performance and customer centre as well.

The brand’s fully electric future has been boosted when the Polestar 1 has been announced. One of 3 offerings will be build at the Chengdu plant.

This is not strange that the brand moved to China. Volvo, Polestar’s parent company, is owned by Geely, the manufacturer from China.

Jonathan Goodman stated that the producing plant is going to differ. They want to create a plan reflecting their brand. The plant should be modern, progressive, technologically advanced, dynamic and environmentally responsible.

As a part of the plan, the brand will use 100% renewable hydroelectric energy. A Norwegian architectural firm designed the facility.

The 1st hybrid coupe should come out in 2018.
