Pikes Peak: Faraday FF 91 Is Going To Challenge Model S P100D From Tesla

The PPIHC brings to life a scenic proving ground for any quantity of cars annually. During the last several years, EVs have won on the 12.42-mile course.

For example, a Model S P90D from Tesla got a new Production EV record in 2016 with a time of 11 minutes and 48,264 seconds. Now another EV company is going to reach the top. Faraday Future is going to bring its latest FF 91 electric car to Pikes Peak to rival a Model S P100D from Tesla that was adjusted by Unplugged Performance.

The FF 91 will ride up the hill by Pikes Peak International Hill Climb first-time Robin Shute. He was acknowledged as last year’s Formula Car Challenge Triple Crown National Champion. Then Daijiro Yoshihara will be at the helm of the Model S. He is the 2011 Formula Drift Champion.

Electric cars like Pikes Peak for a certain reason. Though, it can be quite a challenge for a combustion engine to do well up to the 14,115-foot top of the hill, but it does not matter for an electric engine what altitude should be kept for performance going. In 2017, you will be able to see the auction at home on your sofa. Matchsports will live stream the Race to the Clouds and you will be able to see it on your smartphone or PC.
