The model receives power from a 40 kWh battery and an 80-kilowatt electric motor with 147 hp and torque of 236 lb-ft. The car’s top speed is limited to 87 mph. The automaker assures that a quicker variant featuring more power and larger battery pack will come out in 2 years.

The vehicle’s cabin is heavily upgraded. It benefits from a high-definition 7-inch infotainment set-up with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There also will be a new TFT instrument display.

According to the producer, the next year’s Leaf will be marketed in all 50 states of America in the beginning of next year.
