Watch out Renault Sport RS 01 Interceptor!

Be careful if you see the Sport RS 01 Interceptor Concept from Renault in the rearview mirror!

The French producer has set its purpose-developed race vehicle as a highway patrol pursuit car. It boasts black and white graphics and neon yellow stripes. Besides, there are regular red and blue police flashers and strobe lights.

A LED sign at the vehicle’s rear end reads “Follow Me”. This concept is created for publicity.

The Sport RS 01 from Renault rides on a carbon monocoque platform. It weighs less than 2,425 pounds. Meanwhile it is able to output more than 500 hp. Its top speed stands at 186 mph.

You will find the familiar 3.8-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that equips the Nissan GT-R NISMO. However, it has been detuned for racing under GT3 requirements.
