The Same Platform for Next-Gen Nissan Leaf And Renault Zoe

Nissan and Renault decided to join in order to reach economies of scale.

The two companies agreed to create an innovated common platform for EVs together. The next generation Zoe and Leaf will be equipped with it and the electric engines. Senior vice president of Renault-Nissan BV has shared this data.

He stated that the innovated Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf should rival in the identical segment. In such a way, either the Zoe will be enlarged in size or the Leaf’s size will be reduced.

Some people wanted to see the future Leaf before the end of the next year. However, senior vice president announced that the current offering is going to solider on for some time. It should also receive a facelift in 2018. In such a way, the innovated Leaf should come out in the first part of 2019 or at the beginning of 2020.
