The M2 CSL from BMW Should Happen

According to a report, BMW is going to produce the M2 CSL.

Everybody has heard a rumour about a super high-performance CSL variant of the latest M2. It was found out that BMW M is still planning the model under consideration. Meanwhile BMW blog assures that the German brand has approved the sports coupe.

The M2 CSL was supposed to be a competitor for the Porsche Cayman GT4. The new offering will weigh less and possess more power than the M2. You will see a wider, lower vehicle with updated aerodynamics and brakes that match the extra power.

Information has not been announced officially yet. We suppose that the 3.0-litre biturbo petrol unit of the M2 might be enhanced to produce 400 hp (or 294 kW). It likely will be joined to a six-speed manual transmission.

If to believe the recent report, we will see the limited-run special edition in the second part of next year. Expect the car to cost more than the regular M2 ($61,166 in the United Kingdom). The price will probably kick off from $70,000.
