See the RAV4 Sapphire Hybrid Concept from Toyota

Toyota has presented the RAV4 Hybrid Sapphire concept. This event took place at the famous Motor Show held in Geneva.

The offering is dressed in a non-such blue paint. Its design is rather familiar. However, it its body colour bumpers, outstanding 20-inch alloys and additional chrome trim differ. The automaker assures that these changes embody the crossover with a “more premium outlook”.

Interior changes are not major. The concept benefits from black leaser upholstery. The upholstery features blue contrast stitching. The concept also received Hybrid Blue accents, piano black trim and chrome flourishes. Besides, the crossover received an adjustable rear seat, an infotainment set-up and a three-spoke helm.

Just like the regular offering, the concept under consideration has got a hybridized powerplant. A 2.5-litre V4 Atkinson Cycle engine, a nickel-metal hybrid battery, an electric motor and an electric continuously variable gearbox form it. In such a way the offering is able to generate a combined output of 197 hp.

Speaking of performance, drivers should expect the vehicle’s sprint from 0-62 mph in 8.3 seconds. The considered concept consumes 4.9 litres per 62 miles.

The RAV4 Hybrid Sapphire concept will not be produced. The automaker hinted at a new version with more body colour components.
