Bigger and Faster Next-Gen Roadster from Tesla

The company is experiencing an unexpectedly high demand for the latest Model 3. First facts about the 2nd-gen Roadster are coming.

They say that the producer is working on a successor for the sporty offering. It will probably appear in 2019. Tesla does not share information about the model’s development.

The company’s Nordic Countries Manager stated some facts about the latest Roadster. He visited a presentation held at an electronics trade fair (Gothenburg, Sweden). There he revealed that the open-top sporty EV will have a different outlook. Besides, it should be bigger and faster. He added that they would like to manufacture more.

Some reports indicate that the new offering will be originated on the identical platform with the Model 3.

Before the launch of the Roadster, the automaker will have to update the Roadster 3.0 for the owners of the current version. More than one year ago the producer announced the update, but no one has received it so far. The update includes new tyres with lower rolling resistance, a new aero kit and a new battery pack featuring LG cells.
