Audi S8 Spied Lurking Near the Nurburgring
The next-gen S8 from Audi was caught by paparazzi during testing.
Spy agents saw the S8 prototype not far from the Nurburgring. We remind you that the S7 was caught last week as well. The innovated S8 will come out in the second part of the next year. It will benefit from plenty of high-tech things along with Piloted Driving. Probably the powertrain will be the same as in the Panamera 4S from Porsche. We remind you that that is a 2.9-litre six-cylinder with 440 hp.
The offering is heavily camouflaged, but the massive sports brakes and wheels just cannot be hidden. There are also sportier bumpers.
The next-gen A8 will be presented next year before the S8 version. The company’s CEO stated that the A8 will be the first series-manufactured vehicle that can drive itself in the automaker’s line-up. There will be no full autonomy, but the car will be able to drive itself temporarily (that is on the highway up to 37 mph.
