A Sketch Of Hot Yaris From Toyota
The automaker uploaded a teaser of its coming-soon Yaris. The news came out on the heels of the company’s latest World Rally Championship contender.
The Japanese automaker assured that the expertise gained from their full-blooded return to the championship is used to create and enhance the road technology and enlarge the Yaris line-up with a new performance-focused offering.
The cool model will probably be called the Gazoo. The producer has announced that every performance-oriented offering will feature the name of the factory race team.
Technical data has not been revealed yet. Expect the model to ride with a 1.6-litre V4 turbocharged motor. It should be something similar to the one in the Yaris WRC. The motor will produce almost 200 hp, like the 208 GTi from Peugeot, Fiesta ST from Ford and Corsa VXR from Vauxhall.
In the result, expect to see a 0-60 mph time in 6.5 seconds. The top speed will be around 140 mph.
The Yaris Gazoo looks low and wide on the sketch. Its wheels are big and fenders are pumped-up. It actually looks rather subtle in comparison with the crazy rally car.
