Toyota stops its TRD Supercharger Program

Toyota stops supporting the TRD Supercharger program.

The Japanese producer has sent a bulletin to its parts and service managers at the dealerships around the globe. It was announced in such a way that the automaker is not going to stop supporting the TRD Supercharger which is effective with the 2016 model year. The manufacturer states that all available totals of TRD Superchargers and their components will be sold down to zero stock levels. They will not be offered for sale any more. In such a way, every dealer will have a limit of a maximum purchase number of 5 TRD Superchargers. Also, the dealers will be able to sell 5 each of any related details till the end of this month. After June 30, the dealers will have a chance to order any of the Supercharger parts unlimitedly.

Technical support and Service Placement Parts for offerings which are equipped with the TRD Superchargers will still be possible to obtain during the period of 10 years. Though, ECM calibrations will not be available starting from 2016.

The automaker will not give out the Supercharger packages for 3.4-liter six-cylinder 5VZ-FE engine, 4.0-litre six-cylinder FJ Cruise, 4.0-litre six-cylinder Tacoma, 5.7-litre eight-cylinder Tundra and the 4.5-liter inline-six 1FZ engine.
