Passat from Volkswagen recognized as 2015 European Vehicle of the Year
The Volkswagen’s new eighth-gen Passat sedan got Europe’s Car of the Year award.
The producer’s four-door beat a multinational assembly line of contenders which included Citroen C4 Cactus, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 2 Series, Renault Twingo and Nissan Qashqai. Agree, that was a serious competition, especially considering the 2 Series and C-Class.
The new offering is based off the manufacturer’s acclaimed MQB architecture, the same platform which nucleated the 2013 award winner, the Volkswagen Golf. The improved refinement of the vehicle impressed the judges along with the interior space and quality.
