Parking the 2016 BMW 7 Series does not require a Driver

BMW has shared new information about its next-gen 7 Series sedan with one special amazing characteristic.

The German producer is going to set a new benchmark for technology and luxury with the next year’s BMW 7 Series offering. The company has unveiled that the innovated sedan will be 287 lbs lighter than its predecessor.

This weight loss became possible thankfully to the Carbon Core at the centre of the model’s body. It is originated on technology created for the manufacturer’s sub-brand. The automaker assures that carbon fibber material is able to enhance strength and rigidity on the car.

The producer has also stated that the innovated offering will boast a turbocharged V6 engine. The engine’s performance will be boosted with a non-such electromechanically-driven Dynamic Drive roll stabilization system.

Though, the biggest surprise is that the model will become the first production vehicle which will be able to park with the help of remote control. This option will give owners an opportunity to exit the car and park it in very tight parking spaces. With the help of BMW Display Key it will be possible to enter or exit a parking space completely automatically. This technology is still under discussion with regulators is several countries. Meanwhile, the automaker is approving it in all markets.

Gesture control is another innovation for the 2016 BMW 7 Series. It is the ability for the vehicle’s infotainment system to read gestures. BMW believes that it will be an industry first. A 3D sensor is used by the system. It detects hand movements. Therefore, the gestures can be used for a whole bunch of functions, such as accepting or rejecting phone calls and controlling the volume of the radio.
