Hybrid of Toyota Corolla Disclosed in China

Toyota has revealed the Corolla Hybrid at an event in China.

The model is expected to be launched for sale in the country sometime in the second part of the year. The vehicle is based on the ASEAN variant of the Corolla. New design differs from the regular version’s styling. It includes a new radiator enclosure and front bumper with restyled headlamps.

According to the reports, power will be sent by a hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-litre petrol powertrain running on the Atkincon cycle along with an electric motor. In case this system is the same as the one in the Yaris Hybrid model, it will be able to produce 100 hp (or 73 kW).
