Envisioning of 2017 Volkswagen CC

The new Volkswagen CC has been speculatively envisioned in R-Line outlook originated on the last Passat B8.

The producer has already stated that a new CC is being developed. There are possibilities that it will be completed in two years. According to the reports, the four-door coupe Passat will probably be seen at the Motor Show in Geneva this March. It will become possible through a near-production concept and will preview the second-gen offering.

In comparison with the regular Passat, the new CC is going to be 101 mm longer at 4868 mm. It will also adopt a more sloped line of the roof. The new form of the roof will unable a sleeker profile, but meanwhile, it will negatively impact the rear headroom. Unlike the last offering with the rear trunk opening, the innovated variant could enhance its rear liftgate.

CEO of Volkswagen America stated that they are considering two possibilities for the new CC last year. One of them was going to be a fastback offering. Michael Horn has also remembered of the US-spec variant which could be developed locally. This will avoid import costs along with unfavourable exchange rates.
