BMW Doubles the i8 Production in Order to Meet Demands of the Customers
BMW is launching production of its i8 plug-in hybrid vehicle in order to meet the demand from pole to pole.
The company’s factory is situated in Leipzig (Germany). It is manufacturing 20 vehicles a day now. The production increase will help customers to obtain their cars faster than it is happening now since the clients must wait 4 months before they receive their order.
Totally, the automaker has sold 18,000 units of i8 and i3 models in 2014. One third from this number arrived to the United States. The BMW i8 went on sale in August in America and 555 models were sold there. BMW has already sent 198 i8 models through February of 2015 in America what may result in selling 1,000 vehicles this year.
